Twas the night before Christmas and Santa was a wreck... On just how to get through his gift-giving trek. Four reindeer had vanished, disappeared with no trace So how was his sleigh to be guided through space?
The elves were scouring across the North Pole Desperately trying to regain control. Cupid and Comet, Donner and Blitzen Causing such fuss, such indisposition.
And Santa’s whole workshop is now Work From Home With Teams meetings held on Safari and Chrome. Logistically speaking, things are a real mess And just where the toys are is anyone’s guess.
And if that wasn’t enough for Santa to handle, Rudolph’s red nose was as dim as a candle. So even should the four reindeer be found Without his red glow, they’d still be aground.
With slumbering children dreaming with glee About what they’ll find wrapped under the tree Believing that Santa was well on his way No knowledge at all that he had no sleigh.
Shaking his head and not saying a word He vowed to continue and not be deterred. Last year was training, compliance and staff His LMS solved these so he had the last laugh.
But this year seems different, somehow not right And Santa’s gut told him, there would be no flight. No soaring amongst stars and cold midnight chills, No reindeer on rooftops or stockings to fill.
So Santa just stood there, dishevelled, perplexed, He couldn't figure out just what to do next. He tried to be merry he tried to be gay, But you have to admit he was having a bad day.
Grabbing a coffee, he sat down to think No time to panic with things on the brink. He needed a plan to ensure Christmas cheer One with no need for 8 tiny reindeer.
His sack was quite empty, it lay flat on the ground, As was his sleigh with no reindeer around. Something special was needed, a gift that was right Something given to all that was clear to delight.
A gift that would say with no indecision, To each group of us in every religion, St Nicholas had brought love, peace and joy To every household, every child, girl and boy.
He sprang from that table and went right to his shop And with banging and clanging and working non-stop He made something special and then raced to the door And into the dark, starry night, he let out a big roar!
“Here is your gift, it's a price beyond worth... May you and your loved ones enjoy peace on Earth." |
